It really annoys me when some parents are so shallow. I really don't think forcing your child to finish assessment books so you can "keep" them away will make them do better for examinations, especially since you bought those kind of books that are supposed to be used for 2 years. Its ridiculous to make a primary 3 do questions she has never learnt before (since shes only supposed to learn them NEXT year). Its so ridiulous and infuriating. Parents who dont know how the education system works should NOT even try to teach their kid, worse, if parents THINK they have the mental capability to teach their child but OBVIOUSLY dont. Its just so annoying to go to lesson one day and hear this,
Parent: Very long never teach her science already right?
Me: Yes but the questions are not even in the syllabus, its supposed to be taught next year.
Parent: Oh, cause I thought if not can faster finish and keep it.
Then the next week, tuition kid finishes those topics she has never learnt before and passes it to me to mark, most of which are wrong so theres no point. So I asked her why did she even attempt to do when she has not learnt before. Her answer?
"My mother say just do, if dont know then look at answer and do"
(Y) for you. Whats the point of having a tuition teacher when all you need is just the answer script at the back of the book right? Its so draining to be there because I've to deal with the girl AND her mother. Im just glad I wont be continuing anymore & I wish the person taking over me the best of luck (you'll srsly need it) and take care of your blood pressure!
